Bali Green Slimer Acropora

Bali Green Slimer is arguably one of the best beginner Acropora in the hobby. This strain has been living in aquariums for over 20 years. When asked where someone new to keeping Acropora should start, we always recommend the Bali Green Slimer.

This coral has a stunning bright green colouration. When kept in ideal conditions it will develop pink axial tips. It grows thick sporadic branches with plenty of room for fish to swim through. It's also very shaggy for an Acropora, it should be difficult to see the coral's flesh through the polyps, which will constantly be blowing back and forth in the flow.

Green Slimers get their name from the amount of slime they produce when irritated. This is a defence mechanism that helps the coral keep its moisture when out of the water.
