Berghia Nudibranch
Berghia stephanieae
The Berghia Nudibranch, is a carnivorous sea slug that specializes in nuisance anemone, aiptasia, extermination. These Nudiās are a preferred, natural, method of aptasia management. However, their diet solely consists of these anemones therefore the tank must have a readily available supply in order for the Nudi to remain healthy and live to life expectancy. They can reach a max length of 1 1/2ā³ and do not require a large tank but may require re-homing after aptasia are eliminated from the aquarium. Due to their size, it is best to purchase an appropriate number of Berghia for your aptasia problem. Usually one per 10 gallons for a moderate aptasia problem is sufficient.
